Arriving in Ravello

Anna and Theo first visited Ravello on a rainy spring afternoon, when the clouds lifted just long enough to show the coastline below the villa gardens. They knew then that this was where they wanted to gather their people. Guests flew in from London, Athens, and Melbourne, and the weekend began with lemon spritzes in the garden and long hugs at the gate.

The wedding day

Saturday started slowly. Anna got ready with her sisters in a sunlit room above the terrace while Theo wrote the last lines of his vows on the back of a dinner menu. The ceremony took place beneath the pergola at six, with the sea turning silver behind them. Theo’s grandmother read a poem in Greek, and nobody had dry eyes by the end of it.

Dinner was served at one long table lined with candles and terracotta pots of basil. The pasta recipe came from Anna’s family in Naples. Then the band started, and the dance floor didn’t empty until well after midnight.

One more morning

On Sunday, we joined everyone for a slow brunch by the pool. Bare feet, sunglasses, and stories from the night before. We photographed the whole weekend on digital and 35mm film, and the gallery became a record of three days that felt entirely their own.
